Charges & Payment
Payment is due when the appointment is booked or on the day of the consultation and may be requested in advance for new patients. The consultation fee includes the appointment itself and the provision of any request forms, prescriptions or referral letters that may be required and agreed.
Please note that the consultation fee does not include;
• Any tests or investigations: will be charged independently by the relevant service.
• The costs of treatments or medications: will be payable to the pharmacy or service dispensing them.
• If a specialist opinion is required: then those costs will be separate and payable to that specialist.
• Any follow-up or other appointment that might be required (eg) test results or treatment review.
• Any third party letters or reports (eg) insurance claim forms.
Outstanding fees must be settled before any further medical care can be booked or arranged. Any outstanding fees that are not settled within 14 days of being due may attract additional charges and debt recovery action.
• A cancellation made more than 7 days in advance of the appointment will not attract a cancellation fee.
• A cancellation made in the last week is liable for a cancellation fee of 50%.
• A cancellation made in the last 24 hours before an appointment or a late arrival for an appointment or not attending for an appointment without cancellation (DNA) is liable for a full 100% charge.
Cancellation fees are often discounted or waived if an appointment is simply re-scheduled.
Payment for consultations must be made directly to Cloud Health; the BMI Hospital will refuse to accept any attempts to make a payment to them for Cloud Health’s services.
1. Cash can be taken in person only.
2. Cheques can be accepted in person or can be posted to either hospital address.
3. Card Payments can be made online or by phone.
4. Paypal Balances can be used for online payments.
